| After
training as a mechanical
engineer in Vickers, he
studied at Leeds College
of Music and Newark
Technology College.
Gaining a Certificate and
a Diploma in Musical
Instrument Technology. He
then worked for over 5
years with Daniel Bangham
at Wood, Wind & Reed
in Cambridge making
historical clarinets and
8 years at John Myatt
Woodwind & Brass in
Hitchin, Hertfordshire,
running their woodwind
repair department. He has
also worked freelance
making and repairing,
before moving back to his
home in Cumbria the
northwest of England.
